Who we are
This website is run by Centre for Rites of Passage CIC (company no 17171251). We are the data controller for any personal information you send us through it.
If you have a question about your information, email hello@centreforritesofpassage.org.
What we collect
When you use the contact form we collect:
- your name and email address
- whether you are a parent or carer, young person, school or college, partner or funder, if you tell us
- your organisation, if you give one
- whatever you write in your message
Please don't include sensitive details about yourself or a young person in the form. We can talk about those privately once we're in touch.
How we use it
We use your details only to read and reply to your enquiry. Sending us a message does not add you to our mailing list, and we never sell or share your details for marketing.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you have asked us a question and we need your details to answer it.
Keep in touch sign-up
If you use the "Keep in touch" form, we collect your email address and your first name if you give it. We use them only to send you occasional news about the Centre. Our lawful basis is your consent.
Your details are kept in our mailing list service, Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, based in the EU), and the founders are told by email that you have signed up. Every email we send includes a link to unsubscribe, or you can ask us to take you off the list at any time by emailing the address above.
Where it goes
Contact form messages are sent by email to the Centre's founders and are not stored on this website. The keep in touch list is stored with Brevo. The companies that help us do this are:
- StarlingCloud Ltd, which hosts this website for us
- Brevo, which keeps our mailing list and delivers emails from this website
- Google Workspace, which provides our email inboxes
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need to deal with your enquiry, and for up to two years afterwards, unless you become involved with our work or ask us to delete them sooner. We keep keep in touch details until you ask to be removed.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no advertising or tracking tools. Fonts and images are served from our own site, not from third parties.
Like most websites, our server keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and the page requested) to keep the site secure and to limit spam through the contact form.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us at the address above and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
